About

Don’t let the cute short-hand SoDo (“South of Downtown”) mislead you into thinking this neighborhood is another posh neighborhood like New York’s SoHo or NoLita. This is an industrial place of tangled railroad tracks; gritty factories, scrap-metal merchants, and freight companies. Despite (or perhaps because of?) the industrial atmosphere, SoHo has drawn a new crop of business-minded young people. It is the home of Starbucks’ HQ in the Starbucks Center on Utah Ave S which was formerly the Sears building. It has also lured a smattering of internet-startups. Enjoy the industrial-chic scenery with a Cuban sandwich from Cafe con Leche. To digest that sandwich (or more likely get hotdogs and beer), go watch a ball game at CenturyLink Field or Safeco Field.
